L'Arc～en～Cielの『READY STEADY GO』は2004年にリリースされた曲でテレビアニメ初代『鋼の錬金術師』の2代目オープニングテーマとして起用されました。『鋼の錬金術師』は月刊少年ガンガンで2001年から2010年まで連載されていた荒川弘さんのマンガが原作のアニメです。
L'Arc～en～Cielは1991年に結成された日本の4人組のバンドで、メンバーはそれぞれソロでも活躍し、クオリティの高い演奏と豊かな個性が特徴です。この曲は2001年からの活動休止の後、初めて発表されたシングルで、鋼の錬金術師の大ヒットに伴い、従来のバンドファンの他、アニメファンなど世界中から愛される曲となりました。
