映画『鋼の錬金術師 完結編 復讐者スカー/最後の錬成』の公開にあたり、ワーナーブラザーズ公式YouTubeチャンネルより予告映像が公開されました。
映画『鋼の錬金術師』は曽利文彦さんの監督作品で、主役のエドワードエルリックをジャニーズアイドルグループ「Hey!Say!JUMP」の山田涼介さんが務めています。月刊少年ガンガンで2001年から2010年まで連載されていた荒川弘さんのマンガ『鋼の錬金術師』を原作としており、2017年には実写映画第一作『鋼の錬金術師』が公開されました。今回は第2作『復讐者スカー』と第3作『最後の錬成』が5月、6月に連続公開されています。
前作では海外を舞台にしたアニメを全て日本人キャストで行うことに対する不満や、物語の内容にCGやアクションの技術が付いていけるのかといった疑問が噴出していましたが、今回の映画でもアニメを実写化することそのものに賛否両論の声が上がっています。

・No NO. Not again. Here we go again. Another live action remake that has to tear down the heart and soul that was put in to a gem of an anime/manga. It’s just…Why. Why are they again trying to make another movie when they know it’s bound to flop just like it’s predecessor. It just goes to show how coorporate and greedy these companies are.

・Hey I’m not an expert in film. But I think the best way to tackle a live action adaptation for an anime is to not treat it as such. Like directors and writers shouldn’t try to replicate everything that is present in the main show.
