2022年1月10日ポニーキャニオンの公式YouTubeアカウントより「進撃の巨人」 The Final Season Part2のノンクレジットオープニングが公開されました。主題歌は日本のバンド『SiM』の「The Rumbling」。SiMは2004年にボーカルのMAHさんを中心に「Silence iz Mine」のバンド名で結成され、翌年に現在のバンド名に改名しました。ハードコア、レゲエ、メタルなどの要素もある「The Rumbling」は海外ファンの心もつかみ、世界的に有名な米国の音楽チャート ビルボードのハードロック部門で1位を記録しています。ボーカルに合わせてエレンが叫んだり、子供の頃がフラッシュバックするなど主題歌に合わせたアニメーションの演出も多くの人の心を揺さぶりました。

・This opening really emphasizes Erens cry for help. "I never wanted to be the king. I never wanted to grab a knife." It also perfectly presents the chaos and basically presents the end of the world perfectly.
