進撃の巨人－最終話の議論
2023年11月4日、ついにアニメ『進撃の巨人』最終話「The Final Season完結編(後編)」が放映され、アニメシリーズが完結しました。2013年から10年間も放映され、世界のファンが熱中したアニメの完結に海外のファンたちも様々な思いを抱えているようです。英語圏の掲示板「Reddit」には最終話に対する思いを述べるフォーラムが作られました。諌山創さんの原作の最終話に対する評価と同じく、アニメの最終話への評価も賛否両論ありますが、多くの注目を集めていたことがわかります。

・End of an era. Spent like 80% of my time on Reddit in this place. It was a fun 2 years. I don’t think I’ll ever be this invested in a series or fandom ever after this honestly.
一時代の終わり。Redditのこの場所で俺の時間の80％くらいを過ごしたよ。2年間楽しかった。正直、この後シリーズやファンダム(ファンの集会)にこんなに熱中することはないと思うよ。
・It was fun! I had fun! I aslo think this was a great way teach me how to manage my expectations. I don't think I'll devote myself to a show as much as a did to this one which is sad, but I'm glad I got this experience. I think its best we all accept the outcome and move on. Maybe look back on the good things of AOT becase there is still a lot to enjoy.

・I didn't even watch it knowing how mad manga ending made me. So much potential. I really hoped for something more.. One can argue that it still can follow Muv Luv thingy, but yeah, i honestly lost hope for AOT. It was a fun ride and il read/watch some of it, but meh.

・I always saw Eren as a man who would never allow his fate to be put up for luck or chance. A man that would never succumb to his own emotions, his desires and his weaknesses in spite of the difficulty, pain and suffering involved. Consistent character development that lasted for years, absolutely and utterly decimated in a fraction. Such a shame.
俺はいつもエレンは自分の運命が運や偶然に左右されることを決して許さない人だと見ていた。困難、痛み、苦しみが伴うにも関わらず、自分の感情や欲望や弱さに決して流されない。何年も続いた一貫性のあるキャラクターがほんの一瞬で完全にすっかり破壊されてしまった。なんて残念なんだ。

・Well, I am sure disappointed about the outcome. But I'm curious as to why the last 20ish minutes of the episode had poor artwork compared to the rest of the episode and season 4. It seems a bit...rushed.
そう、結果については確かに残念だったよ。でもこの話の最後の20分がこのエピソードの残りやシーズン4に比べてどうしてこんなにアートワークが貧弱なのか気になるよ。少し…急いだような気がする。

・The ending was cruel, but beautiful. People who don't like the ending and call it bad are just people who always want a happy ending. 13 years of a killer experience. I am still teary eyed.
