2022 年1月24日ヒグチアイさんの公式YouTubeアカウントより『悪魔の子』のアニメスペシャルMVが公開されました。『悪魔の子』はTVアニメ「進撃の巨人」 The Final Season Part2のエンディングテーマとして書き下ろされました。ヒグチさんがテレビアニメの主題歌を担当するのは初めてのことだそうです。AppleMusicJpopランキングでは120か国で1位を獲得、進撃の巨人の世界を表した悲劇的な歌詞と美しい歌声が世界中のファンの心を掴みました。

それぞれの歌詞が画像とよく合っている。特に「帰る場所がなければ きっとどこへも行けない」が優しいカルラに合っている。それに鳥かごが一瞬でバラバラになり、小さなエレンが果てしない花の海を見た時は本当に全身に鳥肌が立った。最後に振り向こうとして光になって消えたエレンのところまで見て、毎回目が痛んで泣きたくなる。
