2025年5月2日の金曜ロードショーで地上波初にしてノーカット版が放映される『君たちはどう生きるか』。
この映画はスタジオジブリ宮﨑駿監督の10年ぶりとなる作品で2023年夏に公開されたものです。映画は監督の精神的な伝記であるともいわれており、難解であるとの感想が目立ちますが、日本映画としては同監督の『千と千尋の神隠し』以来21年ぶりにアカデミー長編アニメ映画賞を受賞した他、ゴールデングローブ賞や英国アカデミー賞でもアニメ映画賞を受賞するなど海外からも好評を博しています。2023年12月には米津玄師の公式YouTubeアカウントからコラボMVが公開されていますが、海外からはジブリと米津両方のファンであるとのコメントが多く見られます。

・Seeing the thumbnail and imagining this song playing brought tears to my eyes... Ghibli + kenshi yonezu ...such a soothing combination. This song really touches the heart even though the lyrics are not understood by me however the music reaches deeper understandings of my being.... especially the bagpies used at the beginning. まだこの映画を見てないんだ(この作品もその制作過程を描いたドキュメンタリーもね)でも前にこの歌をYouTubeのショートで聞いた。音と歌詞が絶対的に美しい。言葉に置き換えられないけど、やってみたよ。こう表現するんだ…共鳴する、と。それは人生経験と、痛みや悲しみと、盲目的な希望や子供のような不思議と、年齢と共にやってくる苦渋やよりシンプルな日々へのあこがれ共鳴する。ただただ美しい。

・when the movie ended i was like, "get me out of here..." (that's how obscure the movie was) but then this song came up and i almost cried because i LOVE kenshi yonezu

・It’s incredible how Kenshi Yonezu was able to make such a good song for such a good movie. I watched it in the cinema of my small town and when the credits at the end played, I got goosebumps. It was so nice that I stayed and watched all the credits, listening to the song till the very end. It was only that I realized that all the other people already had left the room, when my family called me because they wanted to go as well.
こんな素晴らしい映画の為にこんな素晴らしい歌を米津玄師がどうやって作れたのか信じられない。我が小さな町の映画館でこれを見た。そして最後にクレジットが流れた時、鳥肌が立ったよ。留まって最後まで歌を聴きながら、全クレジットを見たのはとても素晴らしかった。他の全ての人々が既に部屋を離れたのに気づいたのは家族も出ていきたくて俺を呼んだ時だった。
