クランチロールストアのオーストラリア版YouTubeアカウントから公開された『ルパン三世 カリオストロの城』の予告編。『ルパン三世 カリオストロの城』はモンキー・パンチ原作のアニメの劇場版第2段で宮崎駿さんの初監督映画です。それまでアウトローでハードボイルドだったルパンをコミカルなキャラクターに変更したことも有名。これは第1作のテレビシリーズ公開当時に比べ、現実の世界がアニメの世界を超えるほど物騒で豊かになり、時代に合ったルパン像を確立する必要があったためだそうです。ルパンが尖っていた第1作よりも年齢設定を高くし成熟し落ち着いたキャラクターとなったため、ルパン役の声優 山田康雄さんも「歳を取ったおじさんルパン」というイメージで演技をしたそうです。海外にもファンの多い映画ですが、予告編ではキャラクターの字幕が間違っているなど批判も多く寄せられています。クランチロールはソニーグループが所有する米国の企業で日本のアニメや東アジアの映画などを配信する定額制ストリーミングサービスです。
