【海外の反応】天空の城ラピュタ予告編に思いもよらない評価「ルフィじゃん」「しかしラピュタってｗ」「宮崎は知らなかったんだよ」

マッドマンアニメのYouTubeアカウントから公開された『天空の城ラピュタ』の予告編。マッドマン・エンターテイメントはオーストラリア・ニュージーランドで映画やアニメの配給と権利管理を行うオーストラリアの企業です。「Laputa」はスウィフトの『ガリヴァー旅行記』に登場する空を飛ぶ王国の名前から採ったものですが、スペイン語圏で「La puta」は「例の/あの有名な売春婦」という意味になってしまいます。映画自体は好評であるものの、これについてはガリヴァーとの関連を指摘するものは非常に少なく、からかうコメントばかりが目立ちました。他にもキャラクターの名前や発音が別の意味に聞こえるなど、他言語圏ならではの不満も見えました。
