世界中で大人気のアニメ「進撃の巨人」。その配給会社であるポニーキャニオンの公式YouTubeアカウントから「Footsteps of Doom」の公式音源が公開されました。進撃の巨人80話でついに発動された地ならしのシーンで使用されたサウンドトラックでKOHTA YAMAMOTOによって作曲されています。重厚で陰鬱な曲調の絶望を感じるような曲ですが、海外からもアポカリプスやアルマゲドンなど世界の終末を感じると言ったコメントが多く見られ、戦争や疫病、災害に支配された現代社会を重ねる人もいました。

・This OST really emphasizes what the Rumbling truly is: an apocalypse no other character in AoT could have ever had the will to conduct besides Eren himself
このBGMは地鳴らしが一体何なのかを本当によく表している。つまり黙示録だ。進撃の巨人の中のどのキャラクターも、エレン以外は実施する意思を持っていなかったんだ。

・I didn’t think this anime’s ost could get any better and then this episode dropped.. absolutely jaw dropping I can’t believe someone put these notes on paper and proceeded to make people play it on instruments. Can’t forget the vocals as well, fucking amazing.
