日本でも社会現象になった「鬼滅の刃」無限列車編。2021年4月23日ついに北米でも公開され、4月30日から5月2日の1週間では週間興行収入で全米1位を記録。日本の映画がトップになるのは1999年の「ポケモン・ザ・ファースト・ムービー」以来22年ぶりです。鬼滅の刃公式英語版Twitterアカウントのツイートには、映画を讃える声やコロナによって見られないことへの不満が寄せられています。

・This movie made me cry more than Endgame or Infinity War. Idk it’s just that the ending had more emotional weight on me than those two Avengers movies in my opinion.
