【海外の反応】テニス加藤失格返球誤りボールガール号泣相手選手は笑う「彼らはそれを楽しんでる！」「スポーツマンらしくない」「全人類が見ているよ」

2023年5月からフランスにて開催されたテニス4大大会「全仏オープン」(ローラン・ギャロス)。女子ダブルス3回戦で加藤未唯が相手ペアの抗議により失格処分を受ける事態が発生。加藤とペアを組んでいたスーチャディ(インドネシア)のみならず、同じインドネシア人選手のVito Tjahyadiや伝説的テニス選手のマルチナ・ナブラチロワ選手が相手ペアの態度を批判しています。

試合中、加藤がコートの球をラケットで弾ませ、バックハンドで相手側に送ったところ、ボールガールに直撃。両手に球を持ち、別なところを見ていたボールガールは直前で気づいたため、とっさに顔を背けたもののノーバウンドの球が頭部を打ち号泣してしまいます。これによって加藤は警告を受けましたが、相手組のソリベストルモ選手(スペイン)とブスコバ選手(チェコ)の抗議によって一度与えられた判定が覆され、加藤は失格となり賞金没収・ポイントはく奪の罰を受けました。

加藤の送球が故意ではないこと、相手組の抗議が執拗であったこと、対戦相手の抗議に審判がなびいてしまったこと、加藤が求めたビデオ判定がその場で却下されたこと、加藤が失格を言い渡されたとき相手組が笑っていたことなどが物議を醸し相手選手はSNS封鎖などの対応をとらざるをえない状況となっています。

※4大大会では故意でなくてもプレー外の危険な送球は罰則を科せられます。

・Hitting a ball boy prepared to help your opponent is disgusting. Decision made by the Supervisor of the tournament. I agree it`s too much, but players are not responsible for the behaviour of their opponents. And nobody has no idea why they were laughing...

・Disgusting pair.They were losing the match, so they pointed out the ballgirl was crying despite it being the ballgirl's fault for not doing the ONE thing she was supposed to do: pay attention to the balls on court. There was no intent to hit her, and these women knew it.

・I don't think Miyu Kato hit her with the ball on purpose but the players laughing and enjoying that is really disgusting! Athletes who are strong enjoy the game and do not like to win automatically.
