アシタカせっ記は1997年に公開されたジブリ映画「もののけ姫」の挿入曲。久石譲さんの作曲で映画のオープニングでも使用されている、もののけ姫の代表曲です。「せっ記」は草冠に耳が2つの字が充てられていますが、これは宮崎駿監督による創作漢字で「草に埋もれながら人の耳から耳へと語り継がれていく物語」という意味が込められています。

・I love how nostalgic it sounds. Reminds me of my time back, I wish I could just turn time back and lay there in the warm summer on the grass looking at the blue sky as the clouds pass by. Winter is really getting boring

　この音はノスタルジックで大好き。昔のことを思い出す。時間を戻して暖かい夏の光が降り注ぐ草原で青空に雲が流れていくのを見ていたい。冬は本当に退屈になるよ。

・어릴적부터 지브리를 좋아하시던 아버지가 처음으로 보여준 애니메이션이 모노노케 히메(원령공주) 였는데 영화의 잔인함과 다른 부분적인 요소들로 내용이 기억에 콱 박혀서 잊혀지지가 않았는데 ost도 내용만큼 기억이 난다 이 음악이 영화 도입부에 나왔던걸 잊지를 못한다
